One of things that happens when you are in the business of being the pastor or pastor's wife are phone calls. You never know what kind of mood or disposition people are in when you answer their phone calls. Well the other day our phone rang and a lady from our church was on the other end, and boy was she in a panic state. My hubby being the pastor answered the phone and I could here what she was saying. She was screaming there's a snake in my house. So my hubby said he'd be right there.
It is a 10 mile drive to her home and by the time he got there, they could not find the snake. The kids in the house were also in a panic, one would not go into the bathroom because that was the last place they had seen it. So my hubby looked through everything in the bathroom, moved things around and no sign of Mr. snake. they even looked through the kitchen but he could not be found.
I couldn't stop laughing because I would have panicked just as much as this lady did. the even funnier part is the next day we went to prayer meeting and found out that another family just around the block from us also had a snake in their house. (Now if they lived closer i would say it was the same snake, but...)
I just love being the pastor's wife and I love all our church family.
Have a BLESSED day!

Friends
A Friend sent this to me today and I thought it was very fitting and wanted to share it with you all.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or whether you are a lifetime.

Saying Good-bye
Today is Memorial Day and it has been a very sad day. We learn yesterday that friends of ours had their house catch on fire and that they were all in the hospital. Then this morning when we woke we check the web site set up to inform friends and family about them we found that Kevin has gone to be with Jesus.
All day things have reminded me that we have lost a friend. Although at the same time I am reminded of some of the things that happened at Camp with Kevin.
The many nights of competition between Kevin and I as to who would get a bon fire going. The many years of working in the kitchen, for Senior and Junior high camp, and Ladies Retreat. Kevin always worked in the dish room usually doing pots and pans, and wearing a flowered apron just to make us all laugh.
Camp will not be the same with out you Kevin. May you rest in Peace!!
